The BLAST Austin Major 2026 final hit 1.8M concurrent viewers across Twitch and YouTube on Sunday, beating the 2025 Austin Major by 12%. The broadcast was the most-watched CS2 event of 2026 so far.
The viewership breakdown

- YouTube (English) — 480K concurrent
- YouTube (Russian) — 180K concurrent
- Other — 40K concurrent
The Russian broadcast was the surprise — Gaules' stream alone peaked at 180K, which is a 30% increase over 2025.
Why viewership was up
Three reasons:
- The EU-vs-NA storyline — The final was FaZe Clan (EU) vs. Complexity (NA). The EU-vs-NA dynamic always drives casual viewership, and this was the first CS2 major with an NA team in the final since 2023.
- The FaZe roster move — FaZe picked up s1mple in the spring, and the storyline around his return to the international stage drove casual interest.
- The map pool — The Operation Breakthrough maps (Ravine, Calavera) drew strong viewership because they're fresh.
The final itself
FaZe won the final 3-1 over Complexity. The series was closer than the score suggested — three of the four maps went to overtime.

What's next
The next CS2 major is the BLAST Shanghai Major in November 2026. The Shanghai Major will be the first Asian-hosted major since 2019, and the broadcast will include a multi-language stage with English, Chinese, and Korean commentary.
Valve confirmed the Shanghai Major prize pool will be $2M — the biggest CS2 prize pool of the year.
