Apex Legends Season 24 Scorched Earth launches — new legend Conduit, new map rotation
Apex Legends Season 24 drops a new offensive legend, rotates the Olympus rework into the active map pool, and refreshes the ranked split. Here's what to queue first.

Season 24 is live
Apex Legends Season 24 "Scorched Earth" is live across all platforms. The patch lands with a new offensive legend, a refreshed map rotation, and the seasonal ranked split that resets your MMR to the start of a new climb.
New legend: Conduit
Conduit is the new offensive legend, packing a kit designed around high-tempo engagements and electrical utility. Her tactical and ultimate both disable and damage enemies in a small area, rewarding aggressive pushes after a fight starts.
- Passive — Conduit passively charges an energy meter that buffs her abilities when she lands shots.
- Tactical (Shock Net) — A short-range electrical burst that slows and damages enemies caught in it. Cooldown is short enough to use twice in most mid-range fights.
- Ultimate (Overcharge) — Conduit and her team deal bonus damage to shields for a short window. Pair it with a Wraith ult for the standard dive-comp opener.
The early verdict: Conduit fits into existing aggressive compositions (Wraith, Bangalore, Revenant) without breaking the meta. Expect her to slot in as a flex pick for the first two weeks before the rankedsolidify around her best pairings.
Map rotation
The map pool gets a refresh this season:
- Olympus Rework — back in rotation with a redesigned Hammond Labs area. The new ring path favours edge fights and zip-line plays.
- World's Edge — unchanged, stays in the pool.
- Storm Point — unchanged.
The Hammond rework is the headline change. The new verticality at Labs turns the area from a passive mid-zone into a hot drop for squads that like to fight early.
Ranked reset
Your MMR is reset to the start of a new split. Diamond and above players will see the biggest swings in their first 5-10 games. The standard advice applies:
- Warm up in mixtape before your first ranked game.
- Don't chase the ranked reward in your first session — the volatility is highest there.
- Track your LP gains after game 5; that's your actual skill bracket for the next two weeks.
